嘉宾简介：

ProfessorDavid Walker is the inaugural BHP Billiton Chair of Australian Studies atPeking University. He is also a visiting Professor in Australian Studies Centreat Renmin University of China. As a leading cultural historian, ProfessorWalker has extensive experience in the development of Australian Studiesprograms in China, India, Japan and Indonesia. Professor Walker is a Fellow ofthe Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and the Australian Academy ofthe Humanities. His influential book, Anxious Nation: Australia and the Rise ofAsia,1850 to 1939 (UQP, 1999) won the Ernest Scott prize for History in 2001. AnxiousNation has been translated into Chinese and was published by China RenminUniversity Press in 2009.
